A Solemn Judgement to disrupt opponent’s plays if you went first, and Metal Reflect Slime because it has synergy with Reactor Slime. Blaze Cannon gives Ra some much-needed protection from enemy effects, and is a quick-play to boot. Terraforming means that you’ll have one more often. Mound of the Bound Creator is a consistent generic search that can you can destroy yourself with cards like Mystical Space Typhoon to activate. It more than earns its place in this deck.

How was this card not in the original decklist at 3? It searches Ra AND gives you a free Tribute Summon AND gives Ra attack points (depending on the tributes used, be aware) so you don’t need to use your Life Points. I chose to use Extravagance instead of Duality because this deck relies a lot on Special Summoning tribute fodder, and Duality locks you out of Special Summoning for a turn. Pot of Extravagance basically works as 3x Pot of Greed in this deck, since it doesn’t rely on the Extra Deck very much at all. Card Advance is useful for getting a free Tribute Summon on your turn (enabling turn 1 god cards) and can make The True Name a more consistent generic search. I’m trying to decide if Monster Reborn really is the best choice for this deck, or if it can be subbed for something like Harpie’s Feather Duster or Lightning Storm. It’s hard to get in the grave and frankly not worth the effort. I’ll optimize it at some point, but I don’t even have the crafting mats for 3x EGS yet. The Extra Deck, save for Egyptian God Slime, is just fodder for Pot of Extravagance for now. I nixed Marshmallon since it really didn’t help with getting a god card out, and if you’re relying on it for defense you’ve probably already lost. Guardian Slime can be Special Summoned if you take any effect or battle damage, and it can get out Egyptian God Slime easily. And, since there are 6 spells in the deck that grant a second Tribute Summon in addition to the one Normal Summon per turn, it and Ra’s Disciple are quick ways to get a turn 1 god card. Reactor Slime allows you to get 3 Summons for the price of 1, and the cost is negligible in this deck. This is why Scapeghost is at 3, because its flip effect Summons 4 other monsters as opposed to 1, making it much more likely that you’ll have 3 tribute fodder when your turn rolls around. If you’re relying on a flip effect, you want to have way more Summon power than 1 extra card. Feel free to use 1x each god and 1x Sphere Mode. That said, you can use the other god cards in this deck if you want, but don’t be surprised if you’re mostly getting Ra out anyway.

Reason being Ra has all the non-generic search and Summon cards, so he’s the most consistent to get out. I’ll start with the list, then go into the theory below it.Ģx hand traps OR 1x Slifer and Obelisk (I use Maxx “C” and Ash Blossom, but feel free to sub in the other 2 god cards here or anywhere else I call for a sub)Ģx Mystical Space Typhoon (can be changed for other backrow removal, as long as it can destroy your own cards as well)Ģx Blaze Cannon (or sub 1 out for Thunderforce Attack if you have Slifer in the deck)ġx Metal Reflect Slime (feel free to sub out if you want)ġ2x Random Link and Rank 1 or 4 Xyz monsters (just for fodder for now until I find the optimal Extra Deck setup, to help with getting more tributes on the field)įirst and foremost: This deck prefers to only have Ra in it, hence why I’m running 2x Ra and 2x Sphere mode. It’s not perfect and has some tweaking before I’m gonna call it “complete”, but it’ll consistently get god cards on the field. Using this list as a jumping-off point, I’ve put together a deck that, in my testing, is pretty consistent. The second question is “All 3 gods, or just one?” My decklist will work decently with either, but it MUCH prefers to be a Ra-only deck, since Ra has more search potential than the other two gods. However, it’s labeled as ‘competitive’, so I’m going to try to make a decklist that is more so that. The first question you want to ask is, “Is this more of a themed deck, or is it more of a playable deck?” The decklist above works well as a ‘themed’ deck, where functionality is sacrificed for sticking more closely to the core theme of the deck. Calling any god card deck competitive is a bit of a stretch in the current meta but even this one can be improved a good amount. Frankly this decklist isn’t super optimized.
